More rarely used since the invention of the rubber reins, nevertheless the brédie reins are the Rolls of reins for hunting. They provide better hold especially in rainy weather.
 They are made for the base in quality leather, robust and thick from 4.2 to 4.8 mm thick. The braiding is carried out in supple but rigid fatty calfskin of approximately 2 mm.
